Mallorca is home to a variety of both daytime and night time entertainment venues and interesting places to visit. These include a wide selection of fashionable wine and cocktail bars in most of the major towns as well as beach bars (known locally as “chiringuitos”) and nightclubs. The busiest area of the island is the capital, Palma, that is home to many prestigious restaurants, bars and nightclubs and is also where the marina and the yachting lifestyle is vibrant all year round.

Wherever you are on the island of Mallorca, you are never very far from a nightclub and well-known venues along the Paseo de Maritimo in Palma, home to a large number of yachts in the marina, include places such as Social Club that features top DJs and events and other lively bars to dance the night away in. The area of Santa Catalina in Palma is home to a good selection of wine and cocktail bars and is within easy reach from the Paseo Maritimo. It also has a number of “cervecerias” where you can indulge in a wide selection of both local and craft beers.

One of the major spots for night clubbing in Mallorca is Magaluf that has a large complement of lively venues for those wishing to dance the night away til the early hours. There are many bars and clubs located along what is known as the Strip, Punta Ballena.

Mallorca fully embraces the LGBTQ+ community and has a number of LGBTQ+-friendly venues in and around Palma, some of which host entertaining drag queen shows in a friendly, inclusive and lively environment.

For something a little different, there are two well-known dinner-dance shows that take place throughout the year - Pirates and Son Amar. These venues put on incredible shows that rival Cirque du Soleil with a sit down meal and change their shows depending on the time of year.

For the more adventurous of us that aren’t looking for nightlife, there are island tours available from major towns around the island that include a trip on an old tram system that runs through the beautiful town of Soller - a must-see town with a number of quaint little restaurants. Such trips can also incorporate an excursion to the enchanting La Calobra Cove and a tour of the spectacular Tramuntana Mountains that have been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. The areas surrounding the Tramuntana Mountains are well worth driving through, particularly the towns of Valldemosa and Deia that are home to a number of show business personalities due to the area’s picturesque beauty.

Palma provides hop-on hop-off tours that include either a one or two-day option that give you the opportunity to see a good selection of the city’s major interesting sights and has the flexibility of getting on and off at various chosen locations.

Around various parts of the island there are several sightseeing tours comprising small mini-cruises and boat trips ranging from a few hours to a whole day. Explore the pretty coastline with its wonderful beaches that have plenty of choice for a spot of lunch. Sailing options are also available with diving opportunities for those who wish to explore the underwater coastline.
